Spurs’ greatest ever player fears for ‘very poor’ Tottenham in Arsenal clash

Spurs legend Glenn Hoddle says Tottenham have “really got to get their act together” ahead of Sunday’s North London derby against Arsenal.
The 59-year-old, who was speaking on BT Sport as a pundit following his former side’s 1-0 home defeat to Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Wednesday night, fears for Mauricio Pochettino’s men ahead of their trip to the Emirates Stadium.
“They can’t play like that. They were lacklustre,” he said.
“You can carry one or two players, but when you want to win a football match, you can carry a couple, but you can’t carry eight or nine.
“[Ben] Davies has had a decent game, [Jan] Vertonghen maybe, but other than that, the rest were way off colour and below-par is one thing, but that was very poor.”
Hoddle, who was recently voted as Tottenham’s greatest ever player, added, “They haven’t changed the shape of the team, I think everyone just came out here and expected. There was no game changer there for Tottenham.
“You fear them for the weekend, they have really got to get their act together.”
