Tottenham are reportedly considering a surprise swoop for England striker Jamie Vardy.

The Premier League side, who defeated AFC Bournemouth 5-1 at the Goldsands Stadium on Sunday, are interested in signing the in-form Leicester City sensation.

The 28-year-old, who was only playing non-league football three years ago with Fleetwood Town, has scored a remarkable ten goals in ten English top-flight appearances so far this season.

Vardy, who made his England debut against the Republic of Ireland back in June, has now scored in seven Premier League games in a row, hence the speculation surrounding the Foxes forward ahead of the forthcoming January transfer window.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has admitted his desire to bring in another striker during the New Year period to White Hart Lane in a bid to shoulder Tottenham’s goalscoring exploits off Three Lions teammate Harry Kane this term.
