Tottenham Hotspur welcome Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt to North London on Thursday night for the first leg of their Europa League semi-final.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have endured a dismal campaign domestically and currently sit 16th in the Premier League table.

Last time out the Lilywhites were beaten 5-1 by Liverpool, a result which crowned the Reds league champions.

This summer is likely to be a busy one for Spurs, with speculation surrounding the future of Postecoglou refusing to go away.

Now, it appears that the London side are actively trying to offload one of their most expensive ever signings after a difficult season.

According to TBR Football, Tottenham are hoping to sell struggling forward Richarlison this summer.

The Brazilian has struggled with injuries this term and has therefore played just 18 times across all competitions, netting five times.

Richarlison has struggled since joining Tottenham

The Lilywhites signed Dominic Solanke last summer, and Richarlison also faces fierce competition for places on the left flank in Postecoglou’s squad.

Richarlison, 27, joined Spurs from Everton in 2022 for a fee of around £60 million, but he has struggled ever since arriving in the capital.

In total the forward has scored 20 goals in 84 games for the Lilywhites, as well as providing nine assists.

It is claimed that the player’s former club, Everton, are interested in re-signing him, although they would likely want to agree a loan move due to concerns about the affordability of Richarlison’s wages.

Spurs favour a permanent sale but would be open to the prospect of a loan move, the report claims, however the London outfit would likely want to include obligation clauses.

The Brazil international’s current contract with Tottenham is set to expire in the summer of 2027, but it appears increasingly likely that he will depart the club prior to then.
