Spurs plot £22m bid for South Korea international

Tottenham are reportedly in talks to sign South Korea international Son Heung-Min.

The Premier League club are understood to be in discussions with Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen over a £22m transfer for Asia’s Footballer of the Year.

The 23-year-old, who has 44 international caps to his name, scored an impressive 17 goals in 42 appearances in all competitions for the German side last season.

With Spurs forward Erik Lamela seeking a loan move to Serie A giants Inter Milan before the close of the transfer window, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino sees Son as the ideal replacement at White Hart Lane this summer.
