Tottenham Hotspur have agreed to let midfielder Tanguy Ndombele join Italian side Napoli on loan, with a view to a permanent deal.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs have agreed an initial loan deal with an option to buy clause included.

Napoli director Giuntoli has already met with the midfielder to discuss personal terms, and a deal is now close.

Ndombele spent the second half of last season on loan at Lyon

Ndombele, 25, joined Spurs in 2019 and was a regular during his first two seasons in London, but fell out of favour during the early part of last term and was loaned to French side Lyon in January.

In total, the Frenchman has played 91 times for the Lilywhites.

Spurs boss Antonio Conte has been busy during the summer window, signing six new players including midfielder Yves Bissouma from Brighton and Hove Albion.
