Tottenham Hotspur have made the first move in the race for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
According to French reports, Spurs have lodged an undisclosed concrete offer for the 25-year-old, who joined the Magpies from Ligue 1 outfit Toulouse back in 2013.
However Sissoko’s agent has dismissed any approach for his star player, who has scored 10 goals in 81 appearances in all competitions since arriving at St James’ Park.
With Premier League rivals Chelsea and Arsenal also interested, Newcastle are thought to be willing to sell the French international if they receive a bid of more than £16m.
