Haringey Council have approved Tottenham Hotspur’s revised plans for a new 61,000-seater stadium.

The North London club, who have played at White Hart Lane since 1899, aim to move into their new home for the start of the 2018/19 season.

Spurs’ new proposal, which is part of a development which will build on the land White Hart Lane sits on, will see at least two NFL matches played at their home every year.

Because work is due to begin in Spring 2016, the club are seeking a temporary home for the 2017/18 campaign, with Wembley muted as a possible location.

Before anything can be finalised, it first must be formally approved by the London Mayor.
