Tottenham Hotspur look set to continue their summer spending spree as they move closer to completing the signing of Middlesbrough full-back Djed Spence.

As per Sky Sports, the 21-year-old is close to signing for the Premier League side in a deal worth around £15 million plus add-ons.

Antonio Conte has already completed the signings of both Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on free transfers, as well as the signing of Yves Bissouma for an initial fee of £25 million.

Spurs are also believed to be on the verge of landing Everton forward Richarlison in a deal that could cost as much as £60 million.

Spence looks to be closing in on a move to Tottenham

Tottenham have been linked with Spence, who impressed while on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, for several weeks now and it appears that they may finally be on the verge of completing the deal.

The right-back was superb for Steve Cooper’s side last season, scoring three goals and providing five assists as Forest secured a return to the top flight of English football for the first time in two decades.

Conte is keen to bolster his squad ahead of a Champions League campaign next year, although some players are expected to depart the club in order to make way for new arrivals.
