Tottenham are reportedly ready to offer Spain international forward Alvaro Negredo a return to the Premier League next month.

The English top-flight outfit, who currently sit fourth in the table after defeating Southampton 2-0 on Saturday, want the Valencia striker to help fire Spurs into the top four this campaign.

The 30-year-old, who has 21 international caps for his country, has scored three goals in 13 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga side so far this season.

Negredo, nicknamed ‘The Beast’, starred for rivals Manchester City between 2013 and 2014 after he cost the Citizens £16.4m from Sevilla over two years ago before heading back to Spain last summer.
