Stoke City have been relatively solid during 2015, and much of this has been down to the showings from their defenders, including full-back Erik Pieters.

The Dutchman has pretty much been an ever-present in the starting XI since February, and is one of the side’s most consistent performers – so much so that he is our Potters’ Player of the Year.

The 27-year-old has been part of a defence that has kept seven clean sheets in the Premier League this season, as well as getting forward well and forging a strong partnership on the left-hand side with Marko Arnautovic.
