Butland has impressed this term for Stoke.
Stoke kept three clean sheets in their four fixtures in October, and part of that was down to the fine form of their England international between the sticks.
Butland was particularly impressive in the most recent goalless draw against Newcastle at St James’ Park, and some have suggested he is now seriously rivalling Joe Hart for the number one spot for the Three Lions.
Mark Hughes will have been impressed so far this term with his young keeper, who became the City’s first choice following Asmir Begovic’s move to Chelsea during the summer.
