Sunderland fans react to Moyes allowing Chelsea sub

David Moyes somehow seems to find new ways to anger Sunderland fans each week and his latest decision to turn their final game of the season into a bit of a friendly left supporters fuming. 

Mad if finishing 16 points from safety wasn’t bad enough for the Black Cats and their supporters, Moyes decided to almost add insult to injury by allowing John Terry to be subbed in the 26th minute of his final game by agreeing to stop play and perform a guard of honour during their 5-1 loss.

In a game which could have offered Sunderland a positive end to a miserable season, beating the Champions in their own back yard would’ve given the traveling fans not to mention the entire club something to be cheerful about and perhaps even a glimmer of hope for the future, instead it just seemed to highlight how completely out of touch David Moyes has become with the fans.

To make matters worse the Premier League say they may now investigate Sunderland and Chelsea’s arrangement as pre-planned throw-ins are against the rules due to betting scams, where punters can bet on the time of a throw-in.

Fans of other clubs were quick to mock Sunderland and Moyes for the decision to adhere to Terry’s wishes, the Chelsea skipper seemingly coming up with the idea himself.
