David Moyes comments that it was “too soon” to decide about his future at Sunderland following the club’s relegation mean fans will have to wait to see whether the former Manchester United and Everton boss will lead them in the Championship.
Saturday’s 1-0 home loss to Bournemouth condemned the Black Cats to English football’s second tier after what’s been a fairly miserable season for the fans.
A lack of goals has cost Sunderland badly – they’ve managed two in their last ten games, both coming in a draw against West Ham- while defensively they’ve been equally as inept managing one clean sheet in the last ten games too.
This season was the first time in six that Sunderland haven’t replaced their manager during the campaign and the first time during that period they’ve failed to avoid the drop.
