Swansea City are reportedly trying to re-sign Wales international Joe Allen during the January transfer window, according to The Sun.
The Premier League side, who face Watford on Monday night, are understood to be willing to splash out £8m on the Liverpool central midfielder this month.
The 25-year-old, who has 23 international caps for his country, has scored one goal in 15 appearances in all competitions for Jurgen Klopp’s Reds this season.
However Allen, who left the Liberty Stadium for Anfield back in August 2012 for a reported £15m, has started just one Premier League fixture this term and could be tempted in a January move back to his former club in a bid to help the Swans stave off relegation.
