Swansea City are reportedly lining up a surprise move for Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher.
Manager Garry Monk is desperate to bolster his attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season, despite already bringing in Andre Ayew and Eder from Marseille and Braga respectively.
The 28-year-old, who has 20 international caps for Scotland, scored five goals in 34 appearances in all competitions last season as Dick Advocaat’s men staved off relegation.
Fletcher, who cost the Black Cats £12m from Wolves three years ago, is entering the final year of his contract at the Stadium of Light, making him available for as little as £4m.
