Williams gives the thumbs up to his Swansea team-mates.
Swansea captain Ashley Williams is up for the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month award in January, and it’s hard to disagree with that nomination when you look at some of his performances.
The Wales international was unlucky to be on the losing side when the Swans were beaten 2-1 at Old Trafford by Manchester United, but he was an influential part of both his team’s triumphs against Watford and Everton.
In the former, Williams scored the only goal of the game, as well as putting in a brilliant defensive performance as the Welsh club picked up only their second win in 12 Premier League games, and in the latter he was once again outstanding at the back as Francesco Guidolin enjoyed success in his first match in charge.
