Liverpool have made a great start to their first full season under Jurgen Klopp, following his arrival at Anfield just over a year ago.

The former Borussia Dortmund boss replaced the sacked Brendan Rodgers in October last year, and helped steer the Merseyside club to an eighth place finish last season, as well as to the final of the League Cup and Europa League, although both ended in defeat.

However, there was plenty of optimism going into this campaign, and the Reds have backed up this early season positivity with five wins from their first seven league matches.

They currently sit fourth in the Premier League with 16 points, which is a place and two points better off than Merseyside rivals Everton.

The Toffees, under the guidance of former Southampton boss Ronald Koeman, have won four of their first seven matches as they look to improve on last season’s disappointing 11th place finish.

There are a few Liverpool players that have started the season well and would get into the Everton team, in a bid to keep them in the hunt for a European place – here are THREE Reds that would walk into Koeman’s team…

Jordan Henderson

Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson has made an excellent start to the season for both club and country, and would certainly strengthen Everton’s midfield.

The England international,is growing in confidence as the season progresses – his brilliant strike against Chelsea a few weeks back epitomised how confident he is playing the centre of midfield under Klopp.

It’s not just that goal though, his all-round game has been steadily improving, and he’s now become an important member of the England team, such are his credentials in the middle of the park.

A Henderson/Idrissa Gueye partnership, with Gareth Barry and Tom Cleverley also available, would be strong foundation for Everton to go on and grab a European place.

Adam Lallana

Koeman could certainly reap the rewards from having Liverpool’s Adam Lallana in his team at the moment, such is the Englishman’s great form for the Reds.

The 28-year-old is another who has benefited from a pre-season under Klopp, and has already netted three times for Liverpool this season as he looks to improve on last season’s disappointing tally of seven.
He also netted the winning goal for England in their win over Slovakia last month, and he’s showing the sort of form and confidence that we all saw during his time at Southampton.

He would definitely benefit an Everton side who have looked a little blunt going forward in recent weeks.

Philippe Coutinho

Almost any team in the Premier League would want Philippe Coutinho in their side.

The Brazil international is one of the best players in the division and, on his day, he is almost unplayable.

He gets Liverpool ticking and can do everything expected of an attacking midfielder. He’s light on his feet, agile, has a good turn of pace, has an eye for goal, and is excellent on the ball – all the hallmarks of a quality Premier League attacker.

Coutinho would create numerous opportunities with striker Romelu Lukaku – they’re a combination that could work seriously well for Koeman.
