These 3 Man City players would walk into Mourinho’s Man United side

Pep Guardiola’s reign as Man City boss has begun in impressive fashion, with his side currently sat top of the Premier League.

Guardiola’s men won their first six league games of the season, including a 2-1 win away at neighbours Man United, and are also unbeaten in the Champions League.

However, City suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Tottenham prior to the international break – a result which cut the gap at the top to just one point – and the lethargic performance may be of concern to new boss Guardiola.

Nevertheless, City still sit top of the division, and currently hold a five-point lead over neighbours United, who are embarking on their first season under new manager Jose Mourinho.

The Red Devils have won four of their first seven games, but haven’t quite fired on all cylinders just yet, despite the summer signings of Paul Pogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Interestingly, there are a few City players that would probably walk into the United team, and here are THREE that would do exactly that…

Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero is the best striker in the Premier League at the moment, and one of the best to ever grace the English top-flight.

He has scored 20 plus league goals in three of his five full seasons at the Etihad and, given a number of those have been thwarted by injury, that’s an incredible return from the 28-year-old.

Any team in the league would benefit from Aguero, and Manchester United would be no different.

He could play both up top on his own and alongside Ibrahimovic. In both instances, there’s no doubt that he will score goals.

Kevin De Bruyne

The Belgium international has been one of the most in-form players in the Premier League since arriving from Wolfsburg in 2015, and City certainly missed him in their defeat at Spurs last weekend.

The 25-year-old scored 16 times in all competitions in his first season in England last year and, alongside that, he provided nine assists. His man-of-the-match performance in the Manchester derby last month would have shown United fans what a special player he is.

With De Bruyne in your team, you always know that he’s going to create chances and, with Ibrahimovic leading the line at Old Trafford, you’ve got someone to put them in the back of the net.

Although United have got good attacking options, De Bruyne trumps them all.

David Silva

Another player who, when he’s at his best, is almost unplayable.

David Silva has been the focal point in the midfield for Man City in recent years and, although De Bruyne has rightly taken the plaudits so far this season, the Spain international is still producing the goods.

Technically, there aren’t many better than Silva, and there certainly aren’t many better at United.

The 30-year-old has assisted over 50 goals in his City career and, when he chips in with a few as well, he is a great player to have in your side.
