The wait for the latest Football Manager game is almost over!

Football Manager 2017 will be released in the UK on Friday, November 4, and it is being eagerly anticipated by many football fans across the country.

With the game including numerous new and exciting features, FM17 is sure to be the best yet, and supporters up and down the country may already be thinking about how best to take their team to glory.

Whether it means a complete overhaul of your club’s current squad, or just adding a few players to an already talented side, many fans will believe that they know what is best for their club as they attempt to take them to the next level.

However, a number of gameplayers will look at the new edition as an opportunity to prove themselves as a Football Manager expert, and might undertake a few challenges specific to their team.

And, for Manchester City fans who have seen their side transformed in the last eight years, these may be challenges you are particularly interested in.

Thus, here are THREE challenges Manchester City fans should attempt on the new game…

English domination

City have won two Premier League titles in the last five years, but have seen Chelsea and Leicester City beat them to top spot in the last two seasons.

However, that is not going to happen under you, and your City side will dominate English football in the next eight years.

The infrastructure is there, the players are there, the chance is there.

Six Premier League titles in that time would make City the best side in England, yet one of these titles must come in your first season in charge at the Etihad.

Quadruple

Forget about the double or the treble, this would be some achievement!

No side in English football has ever won four major trophies in one season – Scottish side Rangers managed it back in the 1975/76 campaign – but you are going to do it at City.

It requires a hugely talented squad with great strength in depth, but with the foundations already there in the current squad, and the finances to bring in more players, this is achievable at City.

We will give you a season to develop a squad and a system, but in your second campaign, you need to have done what no English side has ever done – win the Premier League, League Cup, FA Cup, and Champions League in the same season.

Conquer Europe

It’s a competition Manchester City have not won (and haven’t really looked like winning) since they started qualifying for it regularly in 2011.

However, that is going to change with you at the helm.

Not only are you going to win it within two seasons in charge, but you are then going to conquer Europe, leaving the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona lying in wait as you consistently win the competition.

In nine seasons, you need to win six Champions League titles – in doing so would see you overtake Liverpool as the most successful English team in the competition.
