This is Manchester United’s dream January front line including this key target

Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United go into tomorrow’s game at home to West Ham hoping to pick up their first league win at Old Trafford since September.

United have drawn against Stoke, Burnley, and Arsenal since beating champions Leicester 4-1 on September 24, and really need a victory to keep the pressure on the top five sides.

Mourinho’s men come into the game on the back of a 4-0 win over Feyenoord on Thursday night, a result which leaves them needing a point in Zorya in their final group match to secure a place in the last 32 of the Europa League.

There have been signs of improvement from United in recent weeks, but they need to start backing that up with league wins if they are to challenge for the title this season, or indeed secure a place in the top four come May.

Mourinho’s side also have a League Cup quarter-final to look forward to next week, when they face Slaven Bilic’s Hammers again at Old Trafford as they look to win the cup for the first time since 2010.

However, many still feel that United are short in certain areas to fight for the title this season, but they have been linked with several top-quality players in the last few weeks.

Thus, here is the dream United front three, including one key January target..

LW – Anthony Martial

He may be struggling for form at the moment, but there’s no doubting Anthony Martial’s quality when he’s confident and taking defenders on.

The French international was brilliant in his first season at Old Trafford last time out, netting 17 times in all competitions, and it’s surely just a matter of time before he gets back to that level under Mourinho.

With Marcus Rashford, Juan Mata, and Wayne Rooney all playing well and waiting in the wings, the 20-year-old will need to rediscover his form quickly to nail down a place in this forward line.

RW – Antoine Griezmann

Mourinho could use Antoine Griezmann’s versatility to his advantage, should the Atletico Madrid forward make the move to Old Trafford in the January window.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League, with United and Mourinho’s former employers Chelsea interested, and Griezmann would no doubt benefit both sides in their pursuits for glory.

With United, Mourinho could use him out wide in a front three, play him just behind Zlatan Ibrahimovic, or alongside the Swede upfront – the possibilities are endless and, such is his quality, he could roam and take up a free role in the side to get the best out of him.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks to have got his mojo back in recent weeks, this all after a barren run of just one goal in 11 United games.

However, his brace against Swansea prior to the international break and his fine display against Feyenoord on Thursday suggests that the 35-year-old is ready to add to his eight goals for the Red Devils this season.

In this forward line, regardless of where Griezmann plays, Ibrahimovic is going to get chances to score and, when you’ve got someone who has scored 400 goals in just 695 club games in his career, he’s going to put several of them in the back of the net.
