This is the ideal Everton front four including one potential summer signing

Everton went level on points with Arsenal in sixth after beating struggling Hull City 4-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.

Ronald Koeman’s side had earlier seen Arsene Wenger’s Gunners lose 3-1 at West Brom to open the door for the Toffees, and the Merseyside outfit duly obliged, with a brace from Romelu Lukaku and strikes from Enner Valencia and Dominic Calvert-Lewin sealing a comfortable win against the ten-man Tigers.

It means that Everton have now won seven of their last ten league games, and are level on points with Arsenal in sixth, just six points behind Merseyside rivals Liverpool in fourth.

And with seventh place looking likely to be a European spot this term, there’s plenty for Koeman’s men to play for between now and May, but that hasn’t stopped speculation arising about potential incomings and outgoings at Goodison Park this summer.

And one man they’ve been linked with in recent days is Swansea City attacker Gylfi Sigurdsson, who currently sits top of the Premier League’s assists charts this season with 11 in 29 games for the Swans.

He would certainly bolster the Everton front line, and with so many attacking options, here is what Koeman’s ideal FRONT FOUR could look like on the first day of next season…

Ross Barkley

Ross Barkley has been absolutely brilliant for Everton since the turn of the year, but there can’t be many Toffees supporters out there who expected him to be this good after a below-par first half of the season.

The England international, recalled to Gareth Southgate’s squad this week for the first time since Euro 2016, managed just two goals and two assists in his first 14 Premier League games of the season, but in 2017, the 23-year-old has taken it up a level.

Barkley has scored once and laid on five assists in nine league games this year, including two in a man-of-the-match display against Manchester City in January, a game Koeman’s men won 4-0.

When he is in this sort of form, Barkley is as good a midfielder as any in the league, so keeping him beyond the summer will be integral if Everton are to challenge the top six again next term.

Ademola Lookman

There won’t be many people who expected Ademola Lookman to go straight into the Everton first team when he made the move from Charlton in January.

The 19-year-old has been touted as the next big-thing for a while now and finally made the move to the Premier League this year, and on his top-flight debut, he netted the fourth in their 4-0 win over Manchester City on January 15, having come off the bench just seconds earlier.

Three league starts and two other substitute appearances have followed since then for Lookman, who looks a real talent for the Toffees, and one who could lead the line for several years to come.

Gylfi Sigurdsson

Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurdsson is once again proving to be one of the most creative midfielders in the Premier League this season.

The 27-year-old currently tops the assists charts in the Premier League with 11 for the season, and with five in his last seven games, he continues to be Swansea’s go-to man in their bid to avoid the drop.

With eight goals for the Swans this term, Sigurdsson has directly contributed to over half of their Premier League goals this season (19 of their 36), which means it’s hardly surprising that he is attracting interest from those in the upper echelons of the top-flight.

Everton have been linked with the playmaker, and should Swansea go down this season, he’d surely be on his way in the summer, with Goodison Park a possible destination.

Romelu Lukaku

Belgian international Romelu Lukaku has once again been one of the best strikers in the Premier League this season.

The 23-year-old moved to Everton, initially on loan, back in 2013, and has since then become one of the most deadly strikers in the division, netting 64 goals in 132 Premier League matches, including a season-high 21 already this season.

Lukaku’s brace in the 4-0 success over Hull on Saturday means that he has now scored nine goals in his last six league appearances, which has unsurprisingly taken him to the top of the league’s goal-scoring charts, and also attracted interest from around Europe.

The striker has reportedly rejected to sign a new deal at Everton, so keeping him at the club over the summer will be difficult, but something they simply have to do if they are to challenge the top six again next season.
