This is the unstoppable Man United XI you must play with on FIFA 17

The release of the latest edition of the biggest sports gaming series on the planet is edging closer and closer as the days go by, and fans are already drawing up details of how they want to play with certain sides.

Having spent an un-holy amount of cash over the summer, although they may be struggling at the moment, Man United are ones to look out for in the virtual world.

With the likes of Pual Pogba, Zaltan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan all having joined the ranks at Old Trafford over the summer, added to captain Wayne Rooney and up-and-comers Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial, they are a rather fearsome prospect on FIFA 17.

With such an abundance of talent in the side, it takes quite the tactician to get the best out of them, but never fear, the gaming boffins here at Shoot! Towers have come up with this unstoppable XI, take a look..

The Spanish shot-stopper is undoubtedly the best ‘keeper in the Premier League and it shows on FIFA 17. If you want to be ruthless when taking on your opponents, then you’ll need someone you can trust in between the sticks, and they don’t come much better than this guy.

The former Wigan man has enjoyed somewhat of a renaissance since moving backwards from his original winger role and, with his pace and crossing ability, as well as being solid when on the back foot, he is a cert in this side.

CB: Chris Smalling

The England international is now one of the more senior men at Old Trafford, and he shows it in the new game, commanding in the back four and excellent with the ball at his feet, Smalling will be key to your success.

The £30m summer signing has impressed in the real world since his arrival from Villarreal and there is no change in the virtual world. The centre-half partners Smalling perfectly, with the pair controlling at the back whilst others around them look to get forward.

The former Southampton man has come in for criticism from manager Jose Mourinho in the real world in recent weeks, however, there are no questions over his ability in FIFA 17. With great strength and pace on his side the 21-year-old is superb when it comes to keeping it solid at the back and getting forward.

The French midfielder has had mixed fortunes at Old Trafford since his move from the South Coast, but he will undoubtedly succeed in your Red Devils side. With the physicality and passing ability he posses the former Southampton man can hold everything together in your midfield.

CM: Paul Pogba

The world’s most expensive signing may have been a bit of a disappointment for United so far, however, you won’t have any such concerns over his virtual counterpart.

The French international offers so much wherever you decide to utilise him, whether that be further back winning big tackles or further forward leading the attack from midfield, he will dominate.

CM: Wayne Rooney

The United captain has been under much scrutiny in the Mourinho reign so far, however, in the FIFA 17 world you will face no such problems.

The former Everton man is back to his marauding best in the latest incarnation of the series and can do some serious damage to opponents with dangerous runs from deep.

RW: Henrikh Mkhitaryan

The former Borussia Dortmand man was one of the leading stars for the German side, and he will be no different in your Man United side.

His ability to take on players, link up with his full-back Valencia and whip in a mean cross for those waiting in the middle makes him dangerous however the game is going.

LW: Marucs Rashford

An absolute sensation at Old Trafford last season, Marcus Rashford’s rise has been noted on the latest FIFA, his pace and finishing is enough to scare any virtual defence.

Despite being played out of his favoured position – for a very good reason – the England international has more than enough about him to be a shining light in your side.

Here is the reason we’ve had to shift Rashford, and you can’t deny, it’s a good one. Despite that fact he is getting on a bit, the sensational Swede will cause absolute havoc leading the line.

Whether that be rising above everyone around him to bag a header or netting a stunner from 30 yards, you cannot leave this man out.
