This is Wenger’s dream Arsenal front four including this key target

Arsenal are going in pursuit of their first Premier League title in 12 years under Arsene Wenger, who celebrated two decades at the club earlier in the month.

The Frenchman oversaw a slow start to the season, in which they picked up just one point from their first two matches, before his side reeled off five straight league wins prior to the international break.

The Gunners find themselves just two points off leaders Manchester City in third, and they have also got their European campaign off to a good start with a draw at Paris Saint-Germain followed by a comfortable win over Basel.

Despite their decent start, rumours are already flying around about who Wenger may look to bring in during the transfer window in a bid to bolster his talented squad.

Here is his dream FRONT FOUR, which includes one key target…

Julian Draxler

Julian Draxler has been linked with a move to Arsenal for quite a while, but it now looks like a deal may indeed be completed at the end of the season.

He has been told that he is to stay at Wolfsburg for the rest of the season, but Draxler’s agent has said that he will leave the German club in the summer.

Consequently, a move to Arsenal could be on the cards, and it is obvious why Wenger would want the talented winger to join the North London club.

The 23-year-old is quick and loves to take defenders on one-on-one, which is something many wingers nowadays refrain from doing for one reason or another.

He’d be excellent in this Arsenal quartet.

Mesut Ozil

Mesut Ozil’s £42.5 million move from Real Madrid back in 2013 raised a many an eyebrow, especially given his standing at the Spanish club.

Nonetheless, that big price tag appears to be money well spent by Wenger.

The German World Cup winner has had a hand in 55 Arsenal goals since arriving at the club, including a Premier League record 19 assists last season.

His excellent movement and vision makes him a nightmare to both defend against and anticipate, and he’s someone many Premier League teams would want to play with rather than against.

Theo Walcott

Although he disappointed for England against Malta last weekend, Theo Walcott has made an excellent start to the season at Arsenal.

The Englishman is beginning to look like the Walcott we all anticipated a decade ago when he made the move from Southampton, and has already netted five times for the Gunners in just nine appearances this season.

Deploying Alexis Sanchez in the main striker’s role seems to have helped bring the best out of Walcott who, when he is as confident as he is at the moment, uses pace and skill to devastating effect on the right-hand side, a position he has settled on this season.

He’d be great alongside the others in this quartet.

Alexis Sanchez

If playing Alexis Sanchez down the middle has brought the best out of Walcott, then it has also done the same for the Chilean man himself.

The 27-year-old, who has always been known for his pace and strength, has adapted to the main striker role brilliantly, netting five times in his last seven games for Arsenal.

The former Barcelona man is one of those players that you want leading from the front, such is his incredible energy and work-rate on the field, and it’s a position that he looks supremely comfortable in.

With Sanchez playing through the middle, and the aforementioned three just behind him, this Arsenal quartet would cause numerous problems for all Premier League defences.
