Three goalkeepers to consider for FPL Gameweek 6 including Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers stars

Three goalkeepers to consider for FPL Gameweek 6 including Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers stars.

With five game weeks of the Fantasy season out the way, it’s now vital that your team kicks on and starts climbing the rankings.

Often overlooked by goal-hungry managers is the goalkeeper position, but these shot-stoppers can earn your team valuable points with clean sheets and saves.

Looking ahead to this round of fixtures, there’s some interesting games which are hard to call, meaning their could be great rewards for manager’s who make the right call ahead of this weekend.

Here’s three goalkeeper picks we recommend…

Adrian (Liverpool) – £4.5m

When a second goalkeeper is guaranteed to play for a title-contender, it’s always worth the punt right? With Alisson’s injury likely to see him out until end of October at least, Adrian is a likely starter again this week. Coming off the back of an impressive clean sheet against Ajax away in the Champions League, this Liverpool defence will be confident they can do so again, against struggling outfit Sheffield United.

Matt Ryan (Brighton) – £4.5m

Matty Ryan has been a regular for the Seagulls for a number of years now, with Graham Potter very rarely tinkering with his goalkeeper. The South Coast side face West Bromwich Albion this weekend and will be hoping to keep that all-important clean sheet against a side who are yet to register a Premier League win this season.

Rui Patricio (Wolverhampton Wanderers) – £5.5m

The Wolves number… 11 could be your number one this week. Tipped for big things this year, after a mammoth campaign last season, the Midlands outfit have won their last three games 1-0. Nuno’s side keep things tight at the back, usually playing with five defenders on the pitch at one time. This is great news for your FPL team if you plump for the Portuguese stopper in goal, just don’t expect bonus points for saves!
