With four gameweeks of the Fantasy Premier League season out the way, it’s now vital that your team kicks on and starts climbing the rankings.

Midfielders are crucial members of any squad, as they can get points for cleansheets, assists and extra points for chipping in with goals.

For those FPL pros amongst us, there’s also those cheeky midfielder picks who are clearly strikers playing in wide forward positions.

Looking ahead to this next round of fixtures, many of the big teams are facing off against each other, which leaves space for a couple of picks from clubs outside of the ‘big six’.

Here’s who we feel you should consider putting in your team if you already haven’t…

Wilfried Zaha (Crystal Palace) – £7.2m

Zaha has started this season on fire for Palace, scoring and assisting goals both home and away from Selhurst Park. The Eagles face-up against rivals Brighton & Hove Albion in gameweek 5 and the tricky winger often performs well against the Seagulls. With 27 points already this term, the Nigeria international could be the man to pick this week. Don’t forget he seems to be on penalties soon. VAR could be your friend this weekend!

Christian Pulisic (Chelsea) – £8.3m

Not the cheapest option, but now might just be the time to get Christian Pulisic in your team as the USA international makes his return from injury. The attacking midfielder was on fire at the back-end of last season and Frank Lampard will be hoping he can do the same. The silky runner has an eye for a goal and always seems to be instrumental in Chelsea attacks. No disrespect to Southampton, but the Blues will be expected to cause the South Coast side a lot of problems on Saturday.

Ashley Westwood (Burnley) – £5.4m

People who have success in Fantasy football, are the managers who take risks on relatively unpopular players who chip in with the points. Thats why we think Ashley Westwood might be a good shout for gameweek 5. Burnley are up against, Premier League strugglers West Bromwich Albion and the midfielder has already chipped in with 12 points this season. He is often over free kicks and certainly gets the North West side ticking with his passing range.
