Three players Bilic must give a chance to against Tottenham

It has been a strange old season for West Ham fans. Having left Upton Park for their new home at the London Stadium and watching below par performances, many will be keen to see the back of their first year in Stratford.

However, with Tottenham and Liverpool still to visit east London, Slaven Bilic’s men could still well end a disappointing year on a high.

The visit of London rivals Spurs on Friday night is one that both sets of fans will have been looking forward to all season long and could be a clash to go down in the history books at the London Stadium.

The Hammers will have been left scarred by the return fixture in which they lead 2-1 until two late goals from Mauricio Pochettino’s men made it 3-2 to the north Londoners.

The Irons’ form has been up and down all season with Bilic struggling to find his best side. With that in mind, here are THREE players the Croatian manager should hand a chance to on Friday night…

Sam Byram

Hammers fans have been calling out for a right-back all season long and the former Leeds, whilst having been stunted by injury and suspension since moving to east London, just needs the time to perform. His recent run in the side bore no calamities and he deserves the chance to return to the staring XI against Spurs.

Ashley Fletcher

Bilic’s side have struggled for goals all season and, given that there is little left to play for this term, it may well be the time to give youth a chance from the off.

Former Manchester United man Ashley Fletcher looks to have a bright future ahead of him and could well cause the Spurs back line unexpected trouble on Friday.

Robert Snodgrass

The former Hull City playmaker has not been the signing many expected in January.

The Scottish international is certainly talented but is yet to contribute a lot in claret and blue. However, with the pressures of relegation having eased it could be the perfect context for the former Norwich man to step up and deliver.
