Three players Chelsea boss Frank Lampard could sign in January

Following an impressive 2-0 victory at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, Chelsea head into Christmas sitting fourth in the Premier League.

Considering it’s their midfield legend’s first season at the helm coupled with the fact he was unable to buy players in the summer due to a transfer ban, Blues fans will be more than happy with how their young side is playing.

But now that transfer ban has been lifted, it will be interesting to see if Chelsea add to their squad in January.

But if they were to buy, who could Lampard move for? We take a look at three players the Stamford Bridge outfit have been linked with over the last seven days…

Jadon Sancho

Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho has become one of the most exciting young players in Europe over the past couple of seasons.

After an impressive breakout campaign, the 19-year-old has again shone in Germany, scoring 12 goals and assisting 11 so far.

The England international has been linked with a return to his homeland and the Sun report that are closing in on a club-record £120million deal for the forward.

It’s claimed that the Blues head the queue in front of both Liverpool and Manchester United in the race to sign the former Manchester City attacker.

Bryan Fiabema

One deal that – according to the Metro – has already been agreed is the signing of Tromso starlet Bryan Fiabema.

At just 16, the Norwegian made his professional debut for the Eliteserien side this term.

It’s claimed he will move to Stamford Bridge in January and will continue his development in the club’s academy.

Fiabema has also represented and scored for his country at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 levels.

Isco

A name more familiar to European football fans now in the shape of Real Madrid playmaker Isco.

The 27-year-old has struggled for game time under Zinedine Zidane this term, starting just seven matches in all competitions.

And having failed to hold down a starting spot, the Daily Star report that Chelsea have launched a £44million swoop for the Spain international.

However, it’s also claimed that Arsenal are also interested in brining Isco to the Premier League.
