Three players Manchester United could sign for the 2020/21 season

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United are right back in the race for a top-four finish after their 2-0 win at Chelsea on Monday.

The Red Devils know how important it is financially that they don’t miss out on Champions League qualification for a second consecutive season.

On top of that, it will be even harder to attract the top players to move to Old Trafford as many will not contemplate moving to a club not playing in Europe’s elite club competition.

Although it isn’t yet clear which competition they will compete in next term, the one thing that isn’t in doubt is that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will again try to add to his squad in the summer.

There’s already been plenty of reports linking a number of players with a move to Old Trafford at the end of the campaign.

So who are the names which United could reportedly swoop for? We take a look at three players the Red Devils have recently been linked with…

Moussa Dembele

Sky Sports report that Lyon striker Moussa Dembele is eyeing a move to Old Trafford in the summer.

It’s claimed that the Frenchman, who’s scored 19 goals in all competitions for Lyon this term, will be allowed to leave the Ligue 1 side at the end of the season.

England, where he started his career with Fulham, seems to be the 23-year-old’s most likely destination and that he would like a move to the Red Devils.

Dembele currently has an asking price of £83million but it’s thought that Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas will have to settle for less.

Bukayo Saka

According to the Mail, Manchester United are eyeing a swoop for Arsenal starlet Bukayo Sako.

The 18-year-old has impressed in his 24 appearances in what has been a breakthrough season at the Emirates.

However, he has just 18 months to run on his contract with the Gunners and it’s claimed that the Red Devils are very much keeping a close eye on the situation.

It’s thought that Liverpool are also keen on Saka but that Arsenal will do all they can to keep their academy graduate at the club.

Josh King

The Mail also report that United have not given up on signing AFC Bournemouth striker Josh King.

The Red Devils tried to sign their former player in the January transfer window which resulted in them bringing in Odion Ighalo on loan.

However, it’s claimed that the Norway international is still wanted at Old Trafford and could make another move for him in the summer.

King, 28, joined Bournemouth in 2015 and has since scored 47 times in 161 matches for Eddie Howe’s Cherries.
