Everton have reportedly switched their attentions on signing Shakhtar Donetsk star Bernard.

It is thought that the Premier League club have failed to negotiate a deal for Dynamo Kyiv‘s Andriy Yarmolenko, meaning the Toffees have identified the Brazil international as their preferred alternative target.

The 22-year-old, who has 15 international caps, scored two goals in 23 appearances in all appearances for the Premier Liga outfit last season.

The Brazil forward is thought to be unsettled in Ukraine, meaning Everton boss Roberto Martinez could tempt Bernard to the English top flight before the close of the transfer window on September 1.
