After sending Sweden through to Euro 2016 with two goals in the second-leg against Denmark, striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic had a few words for Sweden’s Scandinavian rivals.
Danish journalists had joked before the game that they were going to make the Swede retire early, as Zlatan had hinted at retiring after Euro 2016.
But his scrambled effort and stunning free-kick meant that he had the last laugh, saying after the match: “They said they were going to send me into retirement. I sent their whole nation into retirement.”
The 34-year-old is no stranger to controversy and speaking his mind, turning down a trail at Arsenal at 17 saying: ‘Zlatan doesn’t do auditions”.
