Top 5: Chelsea’s possible Costa replacements

1. Gonzalo Higuain (Napoli)

Higuain has been scoring goals for fun throughout his career

Having previously been on Arsenal and Chelsea’s radar, Gonzalo Higuain could really be a replacement for Diego Costa. At 28, he is the most experienced and successful player on our list, something which would appeal to the Blues as they’d want someone to make an immediate impact. And with a career total of 230+ goals for River Plate, Real Madrid, Napoli and Argentina, you’d expect him to do just that. Jose Mourinho will also know what the player can do having worked with him at the Bernabéu but that makes you wonder why he hasn’t made a move for him already.
