2. Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Manchester City’s Aguero was the winner of the Golden Boot two years ago and finished runner-up in last year’s competition.
The 28-year-old is a proven goalscorer and is one of the world’s best strikers – another Golden Boot award would put him up there with the likes of Alan Shearer, Michael Owen, Thierry Henry and Robin Van Persie.
As with any season for the Argentine; fitness will ultimately be an issue, but if he can stay injury free – and that’s a big if – then he could easily finish around the 30 goals mark – especially when considering that Aguero scored his 24 goals in eight games less than last term’s Golden Boot winner Harry Kane.
