But for now, gamers will be glued to their laptops, considering one final save before Sports Interactive update the game following the winter transfers.

If you are one of those people starting a fresh game, and want to scour continental Europe to prize talent to your club, then here is a handy guide for youngsters who could be set for big things, should you wish to pursue a transfer.

One issue that could potentially arise could be acquiring these players at their actual market value, given their status and current valuation of their club sides.

Also, at some point in your first few seasons, Britain’s exit from the European Union comes into force in the game, providing new unforeseen challenges within regards to work permits, so you’ll need to get these players in early!

Ousmane Dembele

Borussia Dortmund’s 19-year-old winger Ousmane Dembele has enjoyed a fine start to life in the Bundesliga after the teenager left his homeland of France in favour of a move to Germany.

In 27 competitive appearances for Dortmund, Dembele has scored five times for his new side so far, and is already one of Europe’s hottest prospects.

In Football Manager 2017, the playmaker is rated at £22m, so realistically, for Premier League gamers, the former Rennais player would only be available for the top four sides.

Given his attributes, which include 18 pace, 16 acceleration, and 18 dribbling, Dembele, despite his commendable fee, could turn into a world beater!

Oliver Burke

Scottish starlet Oliver Burke was wanted by the Premier League’s top sides last summer, but chose to snub that interest in favour of a £13m move to newly-promoted Bundesliga club, RB Leipzig, after his breakthrough season at Nottingham Forest.

The 19-year-old winger, who has impressed for Leipzig in their surprise title bid at the top of Germany’s top-flight, has also been heavily involved in the Scotland set-up in the past 12 months.

Burke is valued at £4m in the game, but if you wish to sign him, you’ll of course have to wait until January as he’s only just penned a deal with Leipzig.

He will of course need time to develop, but he could be worthy of a punt if you play as a Premier League club who want to blood young talent into the squad.

Youri Tielemans

Anderlecht’s defensive midfielder Youri Tielemans is just 19-years-old, but is already highly sought after, with Tottenham reportedly keen on his services, having made over 150 appearances since making his debut at 16.

In Football Manager 2017, Tielemans has a release clause of £17m, meaning if you’re a big club, he could be available.

With 16 out of 20 technique, as well as other high attributes including his first touch and passing abilities, you could have quite the signing on your hands!

Marco Asensio

At 21-years-old, Marco Asensio is one of Real Madrid’s most highly-rated youngsters, having broken into the team after previous spells at Espanyol and Real Mallorca.

Gianluigi Donnarumma

If you need to sign a young goalkeeper, who will be expected to flourish at both club and international level for the next decade, look no further than AC Milan’s teenage shot-stopper, Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Yes, at just 17 years of age, the Italian is already a seasoned member of Milan’s first-team, after making his debut aged 16 last season, where he made the number one jersey, or should that be number 99, his own!

At the start of the game, his value stands at £7m, but he could be hard to prize away from the Italian club, due to his great affinity to them.

His best attributes include his handling and reflexes, which are of course paramount to any success in his position.
