The FA Cup third round took place this weekend as 22 teams from across the country took a step closer to Wembley.

As 44 clubs from the Premier League and the Championship joined the competition, only 16 of them progressed?

But who were the standout sides of the round?

Here’s Shoot’s Top 5 FA Cup team performances…..

5. Bristol City (Championship)

Steve Cotterill’s Robins were so close to a famous win

Despite being in the Championship relegation zone, Bristol City came within a minute of beating West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns.

Trailing from Sadio Berahino’s strike midway through the second half, Jonathan Kodjia levelled with a header before Kieran Agard put the Robins 2-1 up with seven minutes to play.

Yet in the fifth minute of added time, James Morrison fired home to set up a replay at Ashton Gate on January 19.

However, with just one win in 10 and West Brom fielding a strong side, this was still a fantastic performance and one which Steve Cotterill’s side should use to try and build momentum to avoid an immediate return to League One.
