4) Matt Targett (Southampton)
Young Matt Targett started the season in Southampton’s defence with Ryan Bertrand missing through injury, but faced a tough baptism of fire.
When the former Chelsea defender was fit again, he came straight back into the starting XI and little had been seen from Targett, until a couple of matches ago.
In a change of formation for Saints boss Ronald Koeman, the Dutchman played a 3-5-2 formation against Watford and West Brom with Bertand playing as a left-sided centre-back, and the young England Under-21 international featuring at left wing-back.
As well as the South Coast keeping two clean sheets, Targett also impressed going forward, picking up an assist in each match and a total 23-point haul across the two fixtures at St Mary’s.
Currently valued at just £3.7m, he may not play every match, but he is definitely one to consider whether you are planning to use your wildcard or not.
