As a player, Deschamps achieved almost everything one could possibly imagine, and he has certainly been a success since his move into management as well.
The captain of the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 winning sides took Monaco to the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2004 after seeing off both Real Madrid and Chelsea in the knockout stages. He also won numerous honours whilst in charge of Marseille, and will no doubt be looking to coach France to victory when they host the European Championships next summer.
