1. Man City 1-2 West Ham (September 19)

Despite their excellent start to the season which saw them win away to both Arsenal and Liverpool, West Ham’s biggest scalp to date came away to the league leaders, who had started the season with five wins from five.

Diafra Sakho converts the Hammers’ second goal

Victor Moses drilled in his first Irons goal with a low 20-yard shot which crept inside Joe Hart’s left-hand post.

The visitors then doubled their lead when Diafra Sakho hooked in from six yards, before Kevin de Bruyne fired in to halve the deficit.

This bought the high flying Citizens back down to earth as despite dominating the game with 72% of possession and 27 shots, for the first time their defensive frailties were shown.
