1. Steve McClaren (Newcastle)
The former England boss has endured a torrid return to top-flight management, compounded by the 6-1 thrashing they received at the hands of Man City at the weekend. McClaren says he has been given time to turn things around by owner Mike Ashley having spent around £50m in the summer; however he will have to turn things around soon with the Magpies rooted to the bottom of the table, having yet to record a league win. Defeat in the Tyne-Wear derby on October 25th could be enough to bring an end to his time at St James’ Park.
