Forster has been practically fault-free since returning from a lengthy injury. Conceding his first goals since his return and setting a club-record in the process, Forster made sure that the onlooking Roy Hodgson would feel guilty for leaving him out of the trip to France in July. A slight error of judgment in Fabregas’ goal could be criticised. However, the ex-Celtic man has won the Saints an immense number of points already this year and will be crucial as they bid to qualify for European football for the second successive season.
If his form continues, Forster will be a real threat to Joe Hart’s position as England’s number one. Although, the Manchester City shot stopper has consistently produced noteworthy performances and will expect to remain in the Three Lions jersey for the foreseeable future.
