2. John Obi Mikel (Chelsea)

Mikel was out of favour under former boss Jose Mourinho

Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink described Mikel as the “ideal player” to bring balance to the midfield after the Nigeria international was influential in their 3-0 away win against Crystal Palace.

From the base of midfield, Mikel completed 78 out of 82 passes as the Blues romped to victory thanks to goals from Oscar, Willian and Diego Costa.

The 28-year-old had struggled in recent times, featuring just 18 times last season and five this campaign.

However, with new manager Hiddink exemplifying his faith, fans are beginning to wonder whether the club can save their season as ‘Mikel Mania’ broke out on social media following the match.
