1. Riyad Mahrez (Leicester City)

Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez assisted one and scored one as Leicester returned to the top of the Premier League following their 2-1 win over champions Chelsea.

With 10 minutes remaining in the first half, the Algerian collected the ball on the right side of the penalty box and provided a perfect in-swinging cross which Jamie Vardy duly tucked home for his 15th goal of the season.

Mahrez has been sensational this season

Into the second half, Mahrez got in on the act with his 13th of the season, twisting and turning in the box before curling the ball expertly pass the helpless Thibaut Courtois.

The 24-year-old, who also put in the hard work defensively, has been simply sensational in what has been a unbelievable season so far for the Foxes.

The big question is, can the table toppers keep hold of him in January?
