The transfer window is fast approaching and clubs from all over the world will be bracing themselves for player arrivals, and departures, in the New Year.

Whether they are unhappy at their current club, have failed to impress or are seeking more game time ahead of Euro 2016, there will be plenty of quality Premier League players wanting to move onto pastures new.

One thing that will be for certain is that there will be some shock transfers to come before we move into February. Here are five of the top rumoured Premier League players to be on the move this window.

Victor Valdes (Manchester United)

Valdes looks set to depart Old Trafford in January.

Behind both David De Gea and Sergio Romero in the pecking order, Victor Valdes is likely to be one of the first transfers come January 2.

The 33-year-old has fallen out with manager Louis van Gaal, and hasn’t even been handed a squad number for this year. The situation that leaves the man, who has won the World Cup and European Championship with Spain, and the Champions League three times at Barcelona, as an outcast is completely bizarre.

It has been reported that the former Barcelona goalkeeper could be on the move to another Premier League team but there has also been interest from Turkey and Mexico. He will be hoping that he can make a switch well before his contract finishes in the summer.
