The Premier League season is now well underway, but there is one small matter of the transfer deadline day to sort out first…
This summer’s transfer window will shut in less than a week at 11.00pm on Wednesday, August 31, just as the Premier League pauses for an international break.
The key focus points this time around will be on whether Hull City can add to their depleted squad, whether Liverpool can get their left-back and whether Arsenal will finally splash the cash to solve their defending crisis and striker shortage.
Nothing is ever certain as the transfer deadline approaches, but there will certainly be many twists and turns before Wednesday.
Expect the odd rumour from out of the blue, a few forgotten names linked with big moves and a few last minute high-profile transfers to come into the mix – maybe even completion of those deals that seem to have lasted the whole summer.
With deadline day getting ever closer, here are five players who should have completed a move to a Premier League club by the end of Wednesday’s transfer deadline…
5. Hal Robson-Kanu
Robson-Kanu has already stated that he will decide which club he wants to join on or around transfer deadline day, after the 27-year-old chose to become a free agent after running down his contract with Reading.
Following a respectable performance in a strong Wales team during Euro 2016, the winger has definitely attracted a lot of interest this summer.
He has already been rumoured to have attracted interest from clubs in China, Spain and Italy but it would seem that Hull City are now the frontrunners to capture the signature of the Welsh international, with Middlesbrough, Burnley, Swansea and Watford also keeping tabs on him.
