2. Daniel Sturridge (from Chelsea – £12 million)
When Sturridge joined the club back in 2013, many fans didn’t know what to expect. He had impressed on loan at other clubs but for Chelsea, he hadn’t really been given a chance and people were unsure how he would do. But with 48 goals in 68 matches, leading to the now famous ‘Sturridge Dance’ celebration, he has proved to be, by far, one of Rodgers’ shrewdest deals. However, the last 12 months for the England forward have been blighted by injury but, given time, he is sure to impress again.
