4. Nolito

Nolito in action for Benfica

A somewhat late-bloomer, 29-year-old Nolito played lower league football before joining Barcelona in 2008 at the age of 22. He made over 100 appearances for the Catalan club’s B side, scoring 29 goals, but made just two first-team appearances.

In 2011 he moved to Benfica for two years, making 35 appearances and scoring 12 goals, before moving back to Spain with Celta Vigo.

He has since made 81 appearances, finding the net 34 times, and, after 10 games this term, has scored seven, assisted four and created 31 chances.

It is his finest start to a season with his club sitting just three points below giants Real Madrid and Barcelona.

This resulted in him keeping his place in the Spain squad after getting called up for the first time 12 months ago.

With him set to add to his four caps, he is one who could prove very useful at the Euros next summer.
