Reading manager Steve Clarke rejected the chance to take over at Fulham on Thursday.

After a dismal campaign in 2014/15, many would have anticipated a season of mediocrity, but the Royals have proved many doubters wrong as they currently sit eighth in the league.

Steve Clarke was backed by the club in the transfer window and bought in a whole host of players, including Stephen Quinn, Paul McShane, Orlando Sa, Matej Vydra and Ola John.

The highlight of their season so far was dispatching high-flying Ipswich 5-1, and four back-to-back victories continued to display the intent of the Berkshire club, however fortunes have recently changed and they will be keen to end their current winless streak as soon as possible.
