Salford City
They may be in the seventh tier of English football, but there is a lot furore surrounding Salford’s match against League Two outfit Notts County on Friday night.
City, who are semi-professional and famously partly owned by the ‘Class of 92’ – Ryan Giggs, Phil Neville, Gary Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes – sold out the 1,400 tickets for this clash in just four hours.
Standing between them and the second round are the oldest club in the Football League, who boast former Red Devils, Roy Carroll and Alan Smith, in their ranks, while the hosts will look to the experience of their former Premier League striker, Danny Webber.
