4. Middlesbrough’s worldwide signings
Boro will make their return to the Premier League at the weekend following a seven-year spell in the Championship, and they are definitely going to be one to watch out for on the opening day of the season.
Manager Aitor Karanka has already bought in eight players from seven different countries this summer, including the likes of ex-Manchester United and FC Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, Spanish striker Alvaro Negredo and attacking midfielder Gaston Ramirez.
It is indisputable that Karanka’s side is the best equipped of the promoted sides to stay up this season and their opening game against Stoke City should be a good test for them.
