In 2005 AND 2006, Nigerian starlet John Obi Mikel was a man in demand. Playing the Norwegian League, he was courted by a number of Europe’s elite, with one of these teams being Manchester United. The club announced they had struck a deal with the midfielder and he had agreed to join them. However, Chelsea had also claimed they had an agreement with Mikel’s agents.
