Tottenham Hotspur boss Thomas Frank will hope to see his side return to winning ways when they face West Ham United on Saturday.
The Lilywhites started the season strongly, winning their first two games, but defeat against Bournemouth in their last outing ended that run.
Frank will expect to see his side pick up all three points against the Hammers, who conceded eight goals across their first two matches before a shock 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest last time out.
In the meantime, it appears that Spurs are working hard to secure the long-term future of one of their most important players.
As reported by TBR Football, Spurs are set to accelerate talks over a new contract for midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur.
The Uruguayan has impressed during the early weeks of Frank’s tenure, particularly during Spurs’ 2-0 win over Manchester City last month, and the report claims that the Dane is therefore set to reward the player with a new deal.

Bentancur, 28, joined Tottenham from Italian giants Juventus in 2022 and has since played 117 times for the North London club across all competitions.
The ex-Juventus star has struggled with injuries at times since arriving in England, most notably a cruciate ligament tear suffered in 2023 that kept him out for over seven months.
The Uruguay international’s current contract with Spurs is set to expire at the end of the season, and CEO Vinai Ventaktesham is therefore working to agree an extension with the player.
Bentancur, who cost the Lilywhites just £21 million when joining from Juventus, has featured in all four of Frank’s matches in charge of the club so far and is quickly establishing himself as one of the most important players in the Dane’s system.
